🔧 Standard scope of the general overhaul:

We offer a comprehensive overhaul of the FTE ABS control unit (excluding pump motors in the standard scope of services) for various BMW motorcycle models. Our repair permanently resolves typical ABS faults and reliably restores the full functionality of the ABS system.

1. DIAGNOSIS & FAULT ANALYSIS
• Professional testing of the ABS control unit
• Reading of the fault memory
• Analysis of typical ABS faults and their causes

2. MECHANICAL OVERHAUL
• Complete disassembly of the ABS modulator
• Ultrasonic cleaning of all mechanical components
• Visual inspection and replacement of worn components

3. REPLACEMENT OF ABS PRESSURE SENSORS (included)
The original BMW ABS pressure sensors are inherently prone to failure and frequently cause ABS fault codes. We replace them as standard with:

• High-quality ceramic pressure sensors with integrated microelectronics
• Specially developed and optimized for the repair solution offered here
• Permanently resolves the known sensor fault in the affected BMW ABS systems

Result: The design flaw of the original pressure sensors is permanently resolved. The ABS control unit operates reliably and stably in the long term.

4. ELECTRONICS & SEALS
• Repair of the ECU, if possible
• Elimination of other mechanical defects
• Replacement of relevant seals (e.g., pump seals, shaft seals)
• Final cleaning of the entire unit

Extended scope of services for the general overhaul (optional):

In addition to the general overhaul (without pump motor), we offer the installation of two fully overhauled original pump motors – ideal for long-term stabilization of the ABS system.


The pump motors, which are installed as part of the exchange process, have undergone the following procedure as part of the complete overhaul:

• Disassembly and ultrasonic cleaning of the pump motors
• Reconditioning of all components
• Replacement of worn parts (e.g., ball bearings, brushes)
• Imbalance check, resurfacing if necessary
• Assembly and functional testing by experienced technicians

We recommend the extended service package for all units as an effective measure to extend the maximum service life of your motorcycle, regardless of its condition or mileage.

The extended service package is necessary if the control unit already shows significant signs of wear. In our experience, this is often the case with a motorcycle mileage of 40,000 km or more. Even at lower mileages, the extended repair package may be essential if there is specific damage, such as carbon buildup on the pump motors, heavily worn brushes, worn commutators (armatures), or water damage to the unit.
